Updated over 6 months ago

Summary

This document explains the steps needed to integrate Tableau with dScribe.

Prerequisites

  1. Make sure you have access to a dScribe environment (Trailblazer or Enterprise Edition)

  2. You need administrator rights in your Tableau system

Step-by-step guide

  1. Navigate to your Tableau Cloud dashboard:

Save your username and password, you'll need it later. You can find your username in your profile settings:

  2. Note your tenant name and content URL: When in Tableau, your URL should contain 2 important pieces of information. Copy these somewhere, you will need them later.

  • Tenant name:

    • See the orange part in the printscreen below

  • Content URL:

    • See the green part in the printscreen below

Your tenant name is indicated in orange (1s part), your content URL is indicated in green (2nd part)

  1. Using your username, password, tenant and content URL, you can now create and schedule a new Source in dScribe.

Reached the end? Congratulations! You’re a star!
