Introduction
The browser plugin allows you to document Power BI Reports and Apps directly in-context. For example, you can add hotspots to report elements or set notifications when users open a report. The plugin is available for Chrome and Edge.

There are 2 deployment options:
Group installation (best for enterprises)
Individual installation via the web store (best for initial onboarding or smaller rollouts)
1. Group installation of the browser extension
This is the recommended option for a large number of users. Your IT team can activate the browser extension centrally for your users. Learn more about this for Chrome browser and Edge browser.
Before you group-install the extension for multiple users, we recommend you set up SSO.
2. Individual installation of the browser extension
This is the fastest option for early adopters in your organization to get started. Note: some organizations block installation of browser extensions. If that is the case, use group installation.
