Multilingual Guide Implementation

Operating in an international context requires multilingual guides.

Updated over 3 months ago

This document explains how to implement Multilingual guides.

Translation guides

A guide can be translated following below steps:

  1. Open your guide to be translated and select 'New translation'

  2. Select the target language and choose whether to automatically translate your guide to jumpstart the translation.

  3. Make any necessary modifications, save and publish your translation.

Consult your translated guides

From within the plugin, select your guide and click to view more information. The default language displayed will correspond to the user profile or organization setting.

Display the guide in the newly translated language.

Prerequisites

Languages must be enabled by a guide administrator before translation is possible. This can be achieved from within the Organisation Settings page.

Organisation Settings

From within the Localization submenu, languages can be added and, if desired, set as the default language.

If the user has not customized their language settings in their profile, all guides will be created in the default language specified here.
